In 2017, the plight of three young girls from Kaafalchaur, Ward No. 8, Dhunibesi Municipality, Dhading—daughters of the late Mr. Dhan Bahadur Tamang—came to our attention through a video report by local journalist Mr. Basu Shrestha. Following the loss of both parents, the children were found living in extremely vulnerable conditions. In response, and with the aim of ensuring their basic needs and a pathway to a better future, they were rescued through the initiative of First Educate Nepal, UK. Arrangements for food, shelter, clothing, and education were made, and the children were settled in their home region of Dhunibesi, Dhading.

To provide continued care and support until they reach full independence, the responsibility for the girls was formally handed over to the Nepal Youth Foundation (NYF) in 2021. Since then, Miss Saraswati Tamang and Miss Parbati Tamang have been under the foundation’s care. They are currently studying at Adarsha Sulav Secondary School in Bhaisepati, Lalitpur, and residing at Olgapuri Children’s Village. It has also been confirmed that the eldest sister is now married and living in the village.
