Introduction

My name is Tenzi Lama (Pakhrin), and I am the founder, trustee, and president of First Educate Nepal UK (FEN UK). At FEN UK, our dedicated team works relentlessly, despite limited resources and expertise, to build and sustain our charitable foundation. Our mission is to support the education of impoverished, homeless, orphaned, and underprivileged children and families in Nepal.
I was born and raised in a remote region of Northeast Nepal, where, like many children, I faced the harsh realities of growing up without access to education. These early struggles profoundly shaped my perspective and fueled my determination to help others facing similar hardships.
Although I now live and work in the UK, I have never forgotten the challenges I endured as a child. Sadly, many children in Nepal continue to encounter significant obstacles to education, including financial hardship, a lack of resources, and limited access to schools and qualified teachers. Since its inception, FEN UK has worked tirelessly to address these issues by providing educational support to children and families in need.

A Call for Volunteers
To sustain our mission and ensure the smooth operation of First Educate Nepal UK (FEN UK), we are seeking passionate volunteers who are eager to share their expertise in charitable work or contribute in other meaningful ways, including through donations.
If you have spare time and a desire to create a lasting impact, we warmly invite you to join our team. Your experience, support, or generosity can make a profound difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we can bring hope and opportunity to children and families who need them most.
